All work is performed or directly supervised by me.  Being a small business allows me to be on site at all times rather than sending out crews who may not understand or be responsive to your project specifications.

The Bobcat S630 Skid Steer with forestry package and steel tracks for increased footing has been used exclusively for shearing and stacking for over 5,600 hours. Cedar shearing is performed at, or as close to ground level as terrain allows using 12” Tree Terminator brand hydraulic shears.  This practice allows for easy shredding in a field or if around your house, running a mower over your reclaimed yard! Once cedar is cut below first green growth, there is NO RE-GROWTH!  Existing seeds may sprout but mowing, shredding or prescribed burns will easily eliminate them.  All machinery is cleaned between jobs to lessen chance of spreading unwanted grass and weed seeds to your pastures

Sheared cedar trees may be left as is or stacked to your specifications for posting out, erosion control, hauling to a cedar mill or burning at a later date.  Desirable trees may be set aside for your easy access.

The end of the stacking process is an excellent time to introduce new grass seed to your land. Driving over broadcast seed in newly cleared areas will compact soil and hold seed in place until the next rains come.

Shearing offers an alternative to slower, conventional dozing which can remove all ground cover and leave you with 2 new projects.  After dozing is complete you are left with upturned rocks and a cratered landscape.  Even after burning pushed up cedar trees you are left with piles of dirt, rocks and partially burnt root masses.  This leads to your second expensive project of getting rid of mounds of unsightly materials.

Shearing and stacking can be done in one trip to your property.  Cedar can be burned immediately while it is piled green or left until a more convenient burning time for you.  Once burned and nagged, you are left with nothing but flat ground.

Shearing also offers a cost effective alternative to full scale mulching which is gaining popularity for speed as a one step process.  Mulching is however, a much more expensive hourly process than shearing.  A drawback I have witnessed to shredding or mulching cedar is that ALL GROWTH is prohibited for years.  Cedar mulch does the same in your fields as it does in your flower beds, it stops growth of weeds and all grasses.

All charges and payment schedules are agreed upon prior to startup.  Hourly wages are assessed for hours which machinery or personnel are working.  Time required for routine fueling, maintenance or repairs will not be billed to you.

No charge for initial on-site review of your project within 35 miles of Reagan

Wells. Distances further than 35 miles will be charged at $0.53 per mile.  If your project is agreed upon and started that cost will be deducted from your first payment.

Payment in full is due at the end of each work week unless otherwise agreed upon beforehand.  You will receive complete itemized bill for all services rendered.
